WHAT IS TYPE 1 DIABETES
Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas are mistakenly destroyed by the body's immune system. Its causes are not fully known, and there is currently no cure. People with T1D are dependent on injected or pumped insulin to survive - every meal, every night, every day.
In the United States, approximately 1.9 million children and adults live with Type 1 Diabetes, with around 40,000 new diagnoses each year. It develops most often in youth but can occur at any age.

Our Story
Parker was diagnosed at 2. Evie at 4.
When your kids are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, life reorganizes itself around it. Pump checks become as automatic as breathing. You sleep lighter. You cancel plans. You cry more than you expected - and then you learn to laugh more too, because the alternative isn't an option.
Rebecca came into Parker and Evie's lives as their stepmom and stepped into all of it alongside Nick - the alarms, the appointments, the advocacy. Nobody signs up for T1D. But she showed up for it completely.
T1D is woven into this brand because it's woven into our life. The pump-friendly pockets aren't a marketing feature. They're what a pocket looks like when someone who needs one builds it. Palmr exists because of our family - and T1D is part of our family.
How We Give Back
We give 1% of every sale to organizations supporting the T1D community. Not profits - gross sales. For a company that isn't yet profitable, that means we give before we see a return. It goes out the door before anything else does, and it grows as we do.
We also show up - at walks, at T1D events, in the community. Parker and Evie are why. Every dollar is pointed at a future where T1D looks different than it does today.
